Piel Frama Tungsten T3 Leather Case

I recently received a Tungsten T3 black/tan Piel Frama
leather case and despite the fact that I have reviewed far too many cases over
the past couple of years I felt this one deserved a write up...
Piel Frama are a company I have dealt with a few times over
the padt year or so and I must say that they are a pleasure to order from-
quick emails, good value and a high attention to detail. This offering was no
different and the case arrived in the now standard green and red box with the
nice Piel Frama 'UBRIQUE' hard paper insert. Sounds like a small point but it
is a nice touch.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
Well, more than I expected was crammed into the red/green
box. You get the case of course, a removable belt clip, a key to remove the
silver clasp on the back of the case, a lovely product pamphlet (it's tiny) and
even 3 small plastic inserts to cover it if you decide to use it clipless. A
bit like Covertes including a screwdriver with their clip cases, Piel Frama
have gone one better with the key as well as the inserts- quite superb
attention to detail.
IN USE

All of the Piel Frama cases I have had so far have been
fairly practical and this one if no exception. You get 3 credit card slots, 2
SD card slots and the securing mechanism is very nice. There are no visible
metal parts in it and the magnet is hidden beneath the leather on both sides-
very nice and works well:) Also, the T3 is held in place tightly in the now
standard fashion of a leather cut out at the bottom which allows access to the
5 way navpad. Piel Frama have definately got this part sorted more than most
with a design which allows easy sliding in of the T3 yet still produces a tight
fit. Removing the T3 is also easier in the case than with most others I have
tried.
For me personally it does not have enough storage and
despite the fact that it comes with so many slots, in reality 3 credit cards
and 2 SD cards are what it will accept and this should not be criticised in any
way as it does what it says it will. My problem is that I am used to carrying
money, receipts, stamps and about 4 cards with me wherever I go so I need
something with slightly more storage. Having said that most people will be more
than happy with the amount of storage in this case:)

The clip mechanism is very good and works well. I found
that it was a very solid fit to the case and it has been designed to accomodate
most sized belts. To attach all you do is slide it on the clip (which is
attached to your belt) and to remove just press a small catch at the top and
the release mechanism is activated- very easy indeed. Personally I would never
wear a PDA (or phone, or bumbag, or anything else:)) around my waist but that's
just me:)
QUALITY
All Piel Frama
cases are of good quality from the stitching to the materials used and this one
is no exception. It's very difficult to fault it's design and many people will
be impressed with what you get for your money.
CONCLUSION
I really wanted to find a fault and
besides the lack of storage (which is a personal choice) I genuinely could not-
well done again to the guys from Piel
Frama...
Pros
Fairly good value at
EUR60
Quality of materials
used
Overall attention to
detail
Cons
Lack of storage (personal
gripe:))
