Review Martin
Fields Overlay Plus Screen Protector
When I saw the box for the first time, I thought that this screen
protector was almost the same as the one from brando. The box says that it’s Washable, High
Scratch Resistance, Reusable, UV Protection, and Crystal Clear. But when I opened the box, I immediately saw the difference: This one
is the clearest screen protector I’ve ever seen.
Packaging
Martin Fields Overlay Plus Screen Protectors arrived in full retail packaging.
That means a sturdy plastic case with an insert housing your protector. This
keeps the protector safe until you are ready to install it.
The installation instructions are basic, but they’re actually not
enough to get you started. I found that reading other reviews and FAQs about screen protectors helped me install my Martin
Fields Protector.

Installing
The Screen
Protector, like many others, is a clear sheet of some sort of film with
adhesive on one side, cut to fit the exact size of the TH55’s screen. It
provides protection for the screen from scratches and extends the life of the
screen.
Installing the screen protector didn’t go really easy. I first cleaned
my screen very good, to remove al the dust on it. Then
I removed the protectors backing, and I stuck it on the screen.
I had to remove and re-allign it a few times
to make sure that there wasn’t any dust under it anymore. This took a minute or
20, and now I still have some dust at the top of the screen, but it fits
perfectly, and when you turn on the device, you won’t even notice that there is
a screen protector installed.
Usage in normal life
I have used it for a few weeks now, and I really adore it. It’s the
clearest protector I ever used, and with clear I mean crystal clear. It hasn’t
a paper feel which some of the other protectors have, and it definitely
looks like a brand new screen for my TH55.
But because the screen is so clean, you will also notice every
fingerprint or smudge on it. It’s no big deal, because you can clean the screen
easily, and if you do this a few times a week, I’m sure that you can spend a
lot of time with one screenprotector

Why this screenprotector is so special:
There are a few things
that make this protector special. The first is that it is completely clear.
Many protectors offer glare reduction. This is not one of those protectors. You
get the same glare that you do off of a bare screen. Sometimes, when you use it
sunny daylight, the screen reflects a lot, so you can’t even see a thing on it
anymore. Then all you have to do is go sit somewhere else, where the sun won’t
shine, and the glare is gone.
Secondly, these protectors
are as smooth as glass. You can feel the stylus press ever so slightly into the
screen. This protector gives a smoother feel to the screen. In fact: If you
didn't know there was a screen protector, I won’t think you would be able to
figure out that there was one.
Thirdly, this is an adhesive protector. The adhesive is not gummy and
does not leave a residue on your screen. Not too sticky, just enough to hold it
to the screen well. You also won’t have problems with the digitizer. I didn’t
have to recalibrate it, and my screen just works like before.
Another complaint that people have about screen protectors is that they
dampen the sensitivity of their PDA screens. This protector does do this but it
is very slight. It took about 15 minutes for me to get used to it. After a day
or so, I completely forgot I had a screen protector in place.
Conclusion
The Martin
Fields Overlay Plus Screen Protector is very
reasonably priced at $12.99. The price is within a dollar of the
other two that I have tried, but the clarity of this screen protector really
makes it shine above the others
