Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car (CAR-100)
Is this the
ultimate gadget for your Sony Ericsson mobile phone? Possible the coolest!
When it
arrived it was packaged in an impossible to open plastic:-

The CAR-100
is charged using your mobile. It has a 10 metre range, works on Bluetooth v1.1.
It is
controlled directly from the phone. It is compatible with the:-
·
R520m, T39m, T610m ,
T630, T68i, Z600, K1010, P800 & 900 with extra software and of course my
K700i.
When you
get the CAR-100 you charge it by attaching it to the bottom of your phone. You
can charge the CAR-100 for up to 60 minutes. Charging is complete when car
light flashes green. To conserve power the CAR-100 turns off after 5 mins. I found in use it is vital to charge car before you
need to use it otherwise battery discharges. If you use CAR-100 straight away
you will get about 15 mins worth of fun.

Next you
need to pair the device to the phone. The default passkey is 0000. When the car
indicator light flashes green or red pairing is completed. Also make sure the
car is close to your phone.
To operate
car, press the button on roof. Bluetooth car Speed 2 appears in the display of your mobile. The
keys of the phone move car forward (1), left (2), right (3) or backwards (4).
To change the speed settings use keys "*", "0" or
"#". The volume keys and joystick can also be used.
In practice
the joystick control is easier.
It is also
possible to alter the steering settings if the car pulls to the left You can change this with the steering switch between the
front wheels.
To turn off
the car, press and hold the button on the roof. If this button is pressed for
more than 30 secs it clears all settings and pairing.
A little
tip - be sure to remove dust from wheels as I found this could hamper performance.
I always
wanted a new car, now I have one. And a bargain at £35 IMHO J))
