My memories of Bozidar are of a man of few words (at least by email) who spent a long, long time ensuring his products were the best they could be. He never courted praise and was the classic man behind the scenes man with loads of talent and little ego. This made him a pleasure to deal with and I, for one, will very much miss him. When I heard the news yesterday I felt something go through me- it was the realisation that a great man's life had been cut short but at least we can be grateful that he made his mark on the world... Will miss you Boz:)...so much. It needs to be made clear that Launcher X lives on through the company that Bozidar created- if you have not tried it you really should- it's available here. Personally I cannot fault it and it has stayed on my Palm for months... All donations to PDA247 for the next 2 months will be collected and sent to Bozidar's family (they may want to donate to a charity of their choice). Bozidar Benc was one of those developers
who created something very special but never seemed to know it. Launcher X to
me is a fantastic piece of programming and is also exactly what a launcher
should be- very very stable, does everything you need yet it does not go over
the top with 100's of features you would rarely use. Some people criticised the
lack of development but that was the whole point, it did not need it! When you
have a program like this it is very reassuring to know that you have the best
version and that you need know more.
