Alarm@Hand by palmfiction

This will not be a long review and there's a very good reason for that. Now and then a developer makes a program which looks very good but one that is so simple and integral to the way you use your Palm that the feature list is tiny and that's exactly how a good Palm program should be made.

Alarm@Hand was built to gives users the ability to make daily or weekly alarms using a simple process without all of the extra bits that are found on many time/alarm applications. As you can see above you get a nice welcoming screen which has today's date and time as well as a calendar and a small box detailing the current alarm you have set up.

Setting up an alarm is simplicity itself- all you have to do is check the days you want the alarm to run in and then set the time. In the above example to change the time touching the bottom bit of the 7 would decrease the hour and the top bit would increase it and this applies to the minutes as well- brilliantly simple!

There are a few settings you can customise such as a small time display feature, the sound time, snooze time and what sounds you would like to play when the alarm rings. Some impressive results are achievable with this small amount of effort.

The simplicicty of this program can be best demonstrated by the image above which shows the menu options available. One is an about screen, one links straight to the normal prefs: date and time function and the other is the settings described earlier. The only extra feature I would like to see is the ability to creat multiple alarms but then maybe I am asking them to move away from what they are trying to achieve which is a simple but nice looking indespensable tool, and the have achieved it:)

Great value at $4.95

Very reliable in use

JUST PERFECT!!!
